San Diego, January 20th 2005 – After the SDCPJ rally and the Ground Zero Players Cacelorazo in downtown San Diego, hundreds of people stepped off the sidewalk at Broadway to begin the Reclaim the Streets party. From 7-10pm, people moved up and down 4th ave, circling around, facing off lines of cops, sometimes outmaneuvering them, other times walking right into them traps. Bikers, musicians, jugglers, dancers and more filled the streets with life in direct contrast to the contained commerical atmosphere of clubs and shops all around them. There were four arrests made; all arrestees are out already, with trials pending.

Please Don't Feed the Trolls

Wikipedia defines an Internet Troll as: "either a person who sends messages on the Internet hoping to entice other users into angry or fruitless responses, or a message sent by such a person." San Diego IMC strives to provide both a grassroots media resource as well as a forum for people to contribute to a meaningful discussion about local issues. Please, when posting comments, be respectful of others and ignore those trying to interrupt or discourage meaningful discourse. Thank you.

Here's the clearest example of pathetic, shoddy, one sided journalism:

 http://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/4117925/detail.html

"Bail for the three people, at least one of whom was apparently charged with assaulting a police officer, is set at $5,000."

If they asked the police, they would know that that wasn't what she was charged with, its just a plain lie. And, since when do you report things without getting a second opinion? Where's the other side "demonstrators said..."

We should really email NBC and tell them that they're a bunch of liars.
