Balboa Park
Balboa Park

I went with the South Bay march on the 19th. At Chicano Park,I saw a moving exhibit of crosses and photos of those who've died, americans and iraqis. Pablo Paredes spoke about his reasons for leaving the Navy, Los Able Minded Poets recited a beautiful poem/verse about justice and freedom, and others in the park.

Marching through Chicano Park, the South Bay, and Sherman Heights was inspiring, because people in the streets, parks, and cars supported us. People stopped to join in. It was in these communities where war pulls its guinea pigs, and it is in these communities where resistance is most fertile.

At City College we had some Radical Fucking Cheerleaders, presentations, handstands, and just chill time.

The final stretch to Balboa Park was the biggest, loudest, and most fun. I hope this march serves as one of many models for future actions to come.

a people's movement

Thank you for documenting this movement. That's really the operative word here! From Chicano to Balboa Park, what a great route! This would have taken you through the heart of the city, past thousands of onlookers in this garrison city of the US Pacific Fleet. And through neighborhoods where many poor and minority people live, those who are most affected by these imperialist wars. This is exactly the kind of movement that will end this nightmare.

Nice pictures--comments destroy credibility

Breathtaking picures, but why use the F-word and juvenile reference to police as pigs? Where's your pride and intelligence?
