San Francisco, CA - Around 200 people came together for the anarchist action march against the g8 in san francisco, in solidarity with the scotland protests against the g8. The sfpd tried to stop the march, declaring it illegal as soon as it steepped in the street and forcing people onto the sidewalk. Throughout the night the march was split into separate groups, regrouped in various places and continued on for 2 hours. Numerous major corporations were the target of property destruction, including wells fargo, bank of america, and pacific gas and electric. Hundreds of pamphlets describing the philosophy of anarchism, what the g8 is and what is wrong with the g8 were passed out to the working class community in the mission. Numerous times in the march, community members expressed support. I saw some people hanging out in front of a liquor store raising their fist and cheering, as well as an older grey haired man on the sidewalk saying that the capitalist system is the problem.

One man and one woman are being charged with multiple felonies and held on $300,000 bail. The legal team is working on getting them attorneys and getting them released! There will be a meeting to organize support for them tomorrow morning, June 10th, in the Mission, time and place to be announced.

I see anarchist that are mis informed about economics, history, and politics as the problem. Perhaps they haven't even read Marx; I mean really read Marx.
