I decided to partake in the protest in Campo,CA this weekend against the minute men. I arrived last night in the desert about 9:30 p.m. I didnt really know what to expect, but i knew it was going to be something big. The next morning we all met up in the camp "meeting tent". we talked about our strategies for the day and how everything was going to go down. About 15 minutes before we were going to march down to the v.f.w. a fleet of cars holding about 100 people showed up to show their support against the minute men. On the way to the protest we made a wrong turn and actually found a white chevy suburban parked on the side of the road with 2 people in the back of it getting there equipment setup. After i took a closer look i realized the their "equipment" was actually snipper riffles and lots of amo. as soon as i saw that i didnt know what to think, i was scared and confused and i didnt know waht to think about snipers at a protest. i just tryed to block it out of my mind as i was marching. thankfully notthing came out of the snipers i guess they were just for intimidation purposes. the protest went surprisingly well. there was almost physical confrontation with James Chase. but he was held back by his fellow racist. we pickected outside the v.f.w. and thats were the minute men were staioned at. we didnt have a chance to protest for long at the v.f.w. because after about 5 minutes the police had to come protect the racist red necks.

Please do not use classist rhetoric when describing these racists. Just because some working class burnt-skinned laborers are bigots, it does not mean we all are. I know it was not explicitly stated, but it was implied.
Besides, it looks like a lot of the racists come more from the middle-class retiree demographic than the working poor demographic.

The California Minutemen are not racists or vigilantes.
They are patriotic Americans trying to keep America from being overrun by ILLEGAL aliens.
A country that cannot protect it's borders will lose their country.
As usual, California is leading the nation in it's stupidity on the issue of ILLEGAL aliens.
In Texas we have a term for things totally stupid and out of touch with reality. The term in "California Stupid".

Your inaccurate reporting on the Minutemen just shows how poorly informed you are. Your photos contradict your claims, it is clear you only want to inflame the public with your misleading reporting. We are ALL Americans First and if you are an American you have a duty to your fellow Americans First to keep our country Safe and Secure. Immigration to the US done legally is a blessing to anyone who wishes to live the American dream. Breaking the law to get here, smuggle or any other means trouble. Teach your readers to do it right. Go thru immigration, sign up, do it legal and become a TRUE American. Live with their heads held high, not in fear running to hide. The Minutemen are doing a great service, you should be thanking them.

They are not helping protect our borders but making the problem worse. When Sheriffs have to waste man hours and local resources to “protect” Minutemen from peaceful protestors.
The Border patrol can’t do their job properly because the deserts are over run with vehicles belonging to the Minutemen.
Two immigrants were shot the weekend of July 22 & 23, in Campo. The Minutemen website states that it was “Rogue Minutemen” who were responsible for the shooting. How can you trust and organization that can not control their own members.
Last weekend in a peaceful protest 5 young women (me amongst them) went to the Minutemen camp, in a verbal exchange the minutemen had a ball shinning about 5-7 high powered spot lights in our faces and calling us “bitches” (not racist but sexist too). Since we could not see anything, they cocked their shotguns while laughing at how defenseless were we.
Please don't comment until you have lived through the Minutemen's racist and sexist attacts.
