These minutemen people remind me of the arrogance and blatent ignorance of the German People circa 1939. They were afraid of the Turks tho. History shows that was a lie much like the many Bush hands out daily. All that anti-terrorist Fatherland rhetoric Hitler spewed back then did was make his blind masses cowardly sacraficial sheep. These folks who say the activists don't want dialogue, are uncivilized, stupid, unamerican, etc. Do you have any conception of political history in this country? And I mean, NOT from the perspective of old white men. Really, was your history teacher that dull to not teach you about civil disobedience, direct action, strikes, lock-downs, sit-ins, . in fact, an American is the one who wrote "Civil Disobedience" in the first place!!!! ALL SUCCESSFUL POLITICAL STRUGGLES HAVE INVOLVED COMMUNITIES TAKING A DIRECT STAND FOR THEIR BELIEFS IN THE FACE OF OPPRESSION. In other words, think about the abolition of slavery. For one second. Think about John Brown (go get your history books again please). Dialogue between a racist and an anti-racist IS NOT DIALOGUE!! It's petty chatter. NOT COMMUNICATION. How do I know? Well, for instance, talking to Tommy and Brit at Campo for hours on end during the CA minutemen shit. They DID NOT SAY ANYTHING but repeat their dogmas, subtle hatred for nonchristians and nonwhites, and act tough. This is not dialogue. This goes nowhere. People who change the world don't just talk all day. They talk, discuss, strategize, act, gather, reflect, strategize, act, etc. This is a long-term process of ACTION and STRATEGY. So please quit your "Oh my god these unamerican babies are so unamerican and blah blah blah." Our american ideals are rooted not only in thousands of years of resistance to such types, but even in founding documents that command resistance to monopolized power and oppressive governments. Read your Locke, Thoreau, or whatever euro-american political theory you want. Just please read for goddsakes and stop!

They have the time and the resources to waste on hunting innocent hard working people who are coming here to BUILD and GROW things. These "Americans" have no concept of America. Wether they got here legally or otherwise, the people crossing the border are contributing to a great country. Remember, many of these overly self-rightous "Good Christian" folks voted for Bush. As to meaningful conversation, they have no ears. Gold OIL and Diamonds seem to be their G.O.D.
