It was a happy day for environmental activist Coronado today, who was released this afternoon after spending the last 9 days in jail. He was arrested by FBI and ATF agents on Wednesday, February 22 for allegedly teaching, demonstrating or distributing information regarding destructive devices at a lecture he gave in San Diego in August 2003. Judge Pyle set only a $2000 bail bond, which was paid by a friend of Coronado's family.
Coronado was joined in court today by about 15 supporters from the community. He immediately left the courthouse on his way to see his son and was not available for comment. He is required to report to the courtroom of Federal Judge Jeffrey Miller in San Diego on Monday, March 6. This appearance will be for a hearing regarding a motion entered earlier this week by prosecutors for a stay of his release. Depending on Judge Miller's decision, Coronado may be taken back into custody in San Diego.

Please Don't Feed the Trolls
Wikipedia defines an Internet Troll as: "either a person who sends messages on the Internet hoping to entice other users into angry or fruitless responses, or a message sent by such a person." San Diego IMC strives to provide both a grassroots media resource as well as a forum for people to contribute to a meaningful discussion about local issues. Please, when posting comments, be respectful of others and ignore those trying to interrupt or discourage meaningful discourse. Thank you.
