Racist Violence in National City Saturday

National City was the scene of a near-riot on Satuday when police blockaded protesters in with a crowd of 200 white-supremacist minutemen and the Minutemen took the opportunity to pepper spray non-violent demonstrators, many dressed as clowns, knock them to the floor and kick them. The Minutemen had staged a large protest against National City's plan to become a Sanctuary City, which would mean that no city funds can be used to enforce immigration laws.
Unsurprisingly, the local corproate media has gone out of their way to take an explicitly racist stance on the situation, supporting the minutemen's claim that they sprayed water at the protesters. Channel 8 showed a video of a minuteman laying on top of demonstrators, who were lying on the ground in agonizing pain getting their eyes rinsed out, and claiming sarcastically that he was hurt too and that they were faking. Channel 8 said that the Minutemen claim that the demonstratros were "faking it". Channel 10 went out of their way on Sunday morning to show a report saying that clearly the protesters were faking because they were wearing sunglasses, showing a clip of one demonstrator before getting sprayed wearing sunglasses instead of showing him on the ground with red tearing eyes for half an hour.
The video linked here clearly shows Gabriel Pollach, a violent racist who spends his mornings screaming racial slurs and threats of sexual violence at day laborers, with a yellow can of pepper spray in his hand, spraying two demonstrators in the face.

While all of this took place, the police only jabbed the demonstrators with their batons and pushed them directly into the crowd of violent white spuremacists.
After being pepper sprayed, one female clown crossed police lines to sit down and rinse her eyes out. Another demonstrator tried to get her water, but the police refused so he threw it to her. While she tried to rinse, the poice picked her up and threw her back into the same crowd of violent racists who had just assauled her by pepper spraying her in the eyes.
After the numerous pepper spraying incidents, pushing and kicking, the demonstrators backed off and joined the large, energetic crowd of counter-protesters in support of the Sanctuary City proposal on the other side of the street. The demonstration went on for hours with drums, chanting, clowning and aztec dancing.
The crowd was composed of a broad coalition of community groups and community members who want the Sanctuary City proposal to pass, including members of Gente Unida, Borders Angels, the Brown Berets, Colectivo Zapatista of San Diego, California Coalition Against Poverty, the International Socialist Organization, California Anarchiss for Gilchrist's Election and the nefarious and hilarious Clandestine Insurgent Rebel Clown Army.

There were black people on the minutemen side...please explain to me how a black person can be a "white supremacist". Let me help you: you can't.
You guys seriously need to drop the "racist" charge because it's really weak. There are blacks, whites, Mexican-Americans, Asian-Americans, etc. who are opposed to people flooding into this country by the thousands. I know you want to paint the picture that they are all white, racist, and uneducated, but they're not so try a little harder to print the facts.

Yes it is true that there are other nationalities who are against "illegal immigration" however when racial slurs, and bigotry are being directed to another person that is the racism. The worst form of the white supremeist attitude is they are better than everyone. Believe me the people of color who are involved with this group are probably thinking if you can't beat them join them. The mm are a bunch of self-serving who use those people to prove a point. Yes it is possible for any color person be a white supremist who says they have to be white they only have to feel as though they are supreme and better than others. The minutemen should stick to the facts of immigration rather than spew lies and hate. I saw the Channel 8 news and it is clear from that news broadcast that the mm with the bandana with the look of the American flag sprayed the young man that was just standing there not doing anything but watching the melee. The mm caused due to some unarmed, harmless clowns. Whats up with that? Arrests should have followed for assault and battery.

in Laguna Beach of summer 2005, Don the donkey Silva of Save Our State invited the National Vanguard to join forces to fight "illegal immigration"(not my words). Also, earlier of that same year Save Our State went to a rally organized by National Vanguard in Victorville. Can you expalain this? Leroy

Use milk to wash the eyes of pepper spray. Put in in a water bottle and hang it off your belt. It works much better than water.
