Truth About Chemtrails
billder,
--
"There is more beauty in truth, even if it is a dreadful beauty. The storytellers at the city gate twist life so that it looks sweet to the lazy and the stupid and the weak, and this only strengthens their infirmities and teaches nothing, cures nothing, nor does it let the heart soar."

Californians Support Sustainable Agriculture
~Bradley,
On March 6, 2004 residents of Mendocino county passed a measure that bans the planting of Genetically Engineered (GE) crops -- also known as Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) -- within their county. Mendocino county’s Measure H is being used as a model for at least seven other counties in California where local residents are well on their way to passing similar measures. Californians feel that local measures seeking to ban the cultivation of GE crops are critical steps to take in the promotion of economically and ecologically sustainable agriculture.

Greenpeace Continues its Resistance to Old-Growth Logging
lotus,
Umpqua National Forest, Ore - Greenpeace continued to spotlight destructive logging practices on U.S. public lands today, this time in Oregon's Umpqua National Forest, administered by the U.S. Forest Service. Four activists attached themselves to a three-ton cargo container placed in the middle of active logging operations at the site of the "Peanuts" timber sale, where felling and hauling of old-growth trees is underway by the D.R. Johnson company. Surrounded by stumps, the bright yellow container, which reads "Bush's Forest Destruction Stops Here" is the latest staging ground for Greenpeace's campaign calling for a moratorium on commercial logging of ancient forest on public lands.
For updates about today's action, see http://weblog.greenpeace.org/stopthesales/index.html

Reagan's Dark Legacy
Mark Gabrish Conlan/Zenger's Newsmagazine,
Despite the near-deification in the official tributes to Ronald Reagan, his legacy on virtually every significant issue of his presidency — the economy, the environment, women's reproductive rights, Queer rights, labor rights, crony capitalism and U.S. financial and logistical support for international terrorism — was a disaster for the country. Reagan deserves to rot in hell for all eternity.
