Beyond Voting March--photos
onto,
After the election, before the horror, 200 people rallied and marched down Broadway to say to the world "Bush ain't my president." This march, organized by the Organic Collective, supported by the International Action Center, San Diego Coalition for Peace and Justice, and more, was filled with poetry, speaker, and a festive march to the NBC building.

URGENT: ACT NOW (!) TO UNHIJACK THE PRESIDE
TruthNow,
The 2004 Presidential election is NOT over! There's evidence the election may have been "hijacked" by fraud and that Bush has NOT won. A nationwide grassroots movement is underway to uncover the fraud, get the votes counted (or recounted) and file lawsuits, and YOUR HELP IS NEEDED NOW. Please spread the word, pitch in some volunteer time, help recruit volunteers with legal and/or computer expertise, and consider donating money. The Presidency won't be decided until the Electoral College meets on December 12; it's not too late to Redefeat Bush Again.

Florida vote obviously hacked
anthony wade,
In Florida, the figures show that, in counties with one type of voting machine, voters with no Democrat or Republican party affiliation appeared to split their votes roughly 50/50 between Bush and Kerry, which was to be expected; yet in counties with another type of voting machine, unaffiliated voters seemed to vote nearly 100% for Bush! Why did Florida voters with one type of machine vote one way, and voters with a different machine vote another?

Evidence That The Vote May Have Been Hacked
Thom Hartmann,
When I spoke with Jeff Fisher this morning (Saturday, November 06, 2004), the Democratic candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives from Florida's 16th District said he was waiting for the FBI to show up. Fisher has evidence, he says, not only that the Florida election was hacked, but of who hacked it and how. And not just this year, he said, but that these same people had previously hacked the Democratic primary race in 2002 so that Jeb Bush would not have to run against Janet Reno, who presented a real threat to Jeb, but instead against Bill McBride, who Jeb beat.

Nader Wins the "Moral Values" Vote
Charlotte Laws, Ph.D.,
Some pundits wave election, exit poll results and argue that America is a "red" country immersed in conservative "red values." But there are several factors they seem to overlook: 1) Nader voters statistically trumped Bush voters on the "moral values" question, 2) "personal financial situation" seemed to be a decisive factor in the presidential election, and 3) exit polls are notoriously flawed.

Storm Troopers & Patriots
gdy,
By 8:00 PM on Election Day, I was convinced that I was watching the slickest damn con job ever put over on the American people. The TV coverage was pitiful. By now its becoming increasingly clear that Bush stole another election. Once the results in western states could be predicted the vote tally in Florida could be juggled in favor of Bush. Once the outcome in the west was known the vote tally in Ohio could be juggled similarly.

Amy Goodman Speaks in San Diego Nov. 5
Mark Gabrish Conlan/Zenger's Newsmagazine,
While the estimate of 1,500 in the audience published elsewhere on this Web site seems inflated, Democracy Now! host Amy Goodman's first appearance in San Diego Nov. 5 at the First Unitarian-Universalist Church in Hillcrest did more than fill every seat in a 600-seat hall and drew an enthusiastic crowd. Her rambling but intense presentation was mostly a critique of the corporate media and a call for independent journalists and activists to stay committed in the face of the Nov. 2 electoral defeat.

150 March Downtown in "Beyond Voting" Nov. 3
Mark Gabrish Conlan/Zenger's Newsmagazine,
A "Beyond Voting" rally and march in San Diego November 3, part of a nationwide mobilization in 36 cities planned before the election and designed to put pressure on whoever won and stress the need for activism rather than relying on the ballot box, drew nearly 150 people for a march from the waterfront to the NBC Channel 39 headquarters at Horton Plaza. Though the mobilizers were nonpartisan the mood at the event was considerably angrier than it would have been if Bush hadn't won.

Kerry Won, here are the facts
Gerg Palast, c/o lotus,
Bush won Ohio by 136,483 votes. Typically in the United States, about 3 percent of votes cast are voided—known as “spoilage” in election jargon—because the ballots cast are inconclusive. Drawing on what happened in Florida and studies of elections past, Palast argues that if Ohio’s discarded ballots were counted, Kerry would have won the state. Today, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports there are a total of 247,672 votes not counted in Ohio, if you add the 92,672 discarded votes plus the 155,000 provisional ballots. So far there's no indication that Palast's hypothesis will be tested because only the provisional ballots are being counted.

ELECTION FRAUD 2004
Denny Burbeck,
It could be that the huge increase in voters in this election was because the American people like being lied to and deceived. It could be that the young vote came out to support an Administration that is sending their jobs off-shore, and sending the military to far flung
areas of the world where they are murdered almost daily by extremists.
Or it could be that the huge increase in voters was countered by an administration
who came to power by stealing the Florida election in 2000, and now has the ability
to skew electronic voting machines by hacking into the software that was left precariously
vulnerable by the manufacturers of the machines. Remember the Diebold CEO who stated
that he would do "everything in his power" to give Ohio to Bush?
The first report of one evening news show last night was on a woman in New Orleans that said she touched the Kerry box, but her machine recorded a Bush vote. But that wasn't enough. They also did the "Katherine Harris" DIRTY trick of denying democrats a ballot.....140,000 of them in Ohio. By the way, the 57,700 democrats in Florida that were denied a ballot in 2000 are still off the voting rolls and could not vote this year either. The freedom to cheat is George W's favorite freedom.
Another wonderful display of Democracy.
Another fine win by the Republicans.
