Bye Gray Davis: Failed Education & Energy Programs
California voter,
The California State University provides remedial courses in English and math to almost half its freshmen since our school system is grossly inadequate in paying teachers, providing supplies and providing an education. This is the bitter legacy of the anti-education program of the Friend-of-Ken-Lay (as in Enron), Gov Gray Davis, or rather, no education program, and is an excellent reason for not voting for him on November 5, 2002.

An interview with Sherman, formerly of RaiseTheFist.com and LAAnarchists.org, whose home was raided by the LA Joint Terrorism Task Force on Jan. 24; the websites were shutdown and his computers confiscated. Sherman denies involvement with any illegal activity, saying of the Feds, "They're afraid. And they're going to try and silence us any way they can. ... My best advice is to not give in to their fear-tactics. Keep fighting, and fight hard. Don't stop."

WILPF Brings Campaign Against Corporate Personhood to San Diego
Mark Gabrish Conlan/Zenger's Newsmagazine,
“Slavery is the legal fiction that a person is property. Corporate personhood is the legal fiction that property is a person.” That’s the message of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) campaign against “corporate personhood,” the 116-year-old interpretation of the U.S. Constitution by the Supreme Court that has granted corporations the same protections under the Bill of Rights and the 14th Amendment as living people — and in practice has given them MORE rights than ordinary human beings. More than 75 people attended when WILPF brought its campaign to San Diego January 28 and featured Jan Edwards of Mendocino County and Molly Morgan of San Diego discussing how corporate personhood came to be and what can be done to get rid of it.
