Its All About Empire and Oil, Richard Becker Says
Mark Gabrish Conlan/Zenger's Newsmagazine,
|
Richard Becker, San Francisco organizer for the International Action Center (IAC), spoke in San Diego December 6 and explained that the real reason for the events of September 11 wasnt an attack on freedom and democracy. Though most of the Councilmembers who supported the renewal made it clear that they disapprove of the Scouts anti-Queer policies, they were persuaded by strong public support for the Scouts programs and by the argument that the 25,000 Boy Scouts in San Diego County shouldnt lose their campground over a quarrel between adults over values.
