Instead, Helms first appeared in public only when his look-alike, a famous oil industry figure, disappeared from public view. Look at the photos on the link below, then read the story beneath them. Jureta Kazickas, former war correspondent in Viet Nam, spoke in San Diego November 7 about her experiences and the recent book War Torn: Stories of War from the Women Reporters Who Covered Viet Nam, in which she and several other female reporters who covered Viet Nam tell their stories. Her talk ranged from reminiscences about her own experiences to recollections of the sexist ways she and other female reporters were treated by Viet Nam-era military commanders, celebration of the heroism of the ordinary grunts and a warning which she feels President Bush and the other members of his government who have never actually fought in one need right now that war is a last resort and should not be entered into lightly.
