THE PENTAGON PLANE MATCHES THE AURORA!
Eric Stewart,
|
"If and when 'Aurora' makes its appearance, it is expected to be able to do upwards of Mach 5 or 6 - it is a hypersonic plane built, according to certain sources, on the 'waverider' principle, utilizing 'pulsed wave detonation engines' that employ a unique means of external combustion. Such a hypersonic plane, even if not radar-invisible, would have little trouble penetrating most air defenses at such velocities, and probably could strike with complete anonymity...."

Why IMC Open Publishing MUST Be Preserved
Matthew Arnison,
|
This article is available via the global IMC through a link from the IMC FAQ page, but I really thought it should be more accessible because of the debate surrounding the "Sad Decline of Indymedia" piece. Arnison's article should be required reading for IMC'ers who are being sorely tempted to throw out the baby of open publishing with the bathwater of spam. In my opinion, eliminating open publishing and moving towards a moderated system would just turn IMC into another corporate medium with a slightly left-of-center editorial perspective. Arnison's article calls on us to affirm the founding vision of Indymedia and look for more creative ways to address spam without compromising the vision. Mark Gabrish Conlan, mgconlan@earthlink.net

Letting IMC die
Pseudonymia,
|
The idea to let "indymedia die" is bloody stupid. That would be an easy victory for the Right and exactly what they want. We do not give up; we will continue to struggle, as nothing will be given you untill you struggle for it.

Mark Gabrish Conlan/Zenger's Newsmagazine,
|
Members of H.E.A.L. [Health, Education, AIDS Liaison]-San Diego celebrated "World AIDS Is Over Day" in Hillcrest, Sunday, December 1. Donning colorful wigs and costumes, the six participants - Jo Hagstorm, David Tworkowski, Tom Alexander, Brian Anderson, Charles Nelson and Mark Gabrish Conlan - handed out leaflets documenting that so-called "AIDS" is not a single disease, neither HIV nor any other virus has anything to do with it, and the diseases lumped together as "AIDS" are symptoms of a long-term breakdown of the immune system caused by recreational and pharmaceutical drugs, repeated infections, malnutrition and starvation.
