U.S. corporate media coverage of the January 27 reports of the United Nations weapons inspectors on Iraqs disarmament not surprisingly focused on what was left out of Iraqs declaration and what possible biological and chemical weapons capability Iraq may still have. But the actual reports of the chiefs of the inspection teams, Hans Blix and Mohammed El-Baradei, are much more ambiguous and stress that there is no way, on the basis of the available inspection evidence, to conclude either that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction or that it does not.

The American "Peace" project - http://americanpeace.eccmei.net/ - is an online resource detailing American imperialism and militarism from 1776 to present. The emphasis is on both international interventions/conflicts as well as domestic oppression (strike breaking, racial suppression, genocide of the Indians, &c). Although there is a LOT more to go, there is enough information on the site currently to make it presentable.

The Union Tribune has sunk to new journalistic lows. Last week the UT underestimated the SDCPJ & ANSWER floats by a 1000 people and somehow managed to find as much negative opinion about the float as positive. They were soon forced to print a correction after a torrent of calls, emails & faxes. Now they have the gaul to print this article on ANSWER and the nationwide peace marches:
