U.N. Weapons Inspectors’ Actual Reports on Iraq, 1/27/03
Hans Blix and Mohammed El=Baradei,
U.S. corporate media coverage of the January 27 reports of the United Nations weapons inspectors on Iraq’s disarmament not surprisingly focused on what was left out of Iraq’s declaration and what possible biological and chemical weapons capability Iraq may still have. But the actual reports of the chiefs of the inspection teams, Hans Blix and Mohammed El-Baradei, are much more ambiguous and stress that there is no way, on the basis of the available inspection evidence, to conclude either that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction or that it does not.
