Homeless Shelters In Danger Of Becoming Homel
Simone Carr, Good News, ect.,

San Diego is having another fight for those "pesky" homeless. The San Diego Rescue Mission would like to set up shop, but is getting challenged from the Little Italy organization. The article states that the Little Italy Association said, "We will not allow our public rights of way to be dominated by those who contribute little, if anything, to our community." Come on people have a heart. What ever happened to feeling happy by helping others? Perhaps these people at one time were contributing heavy, and found themselves tired or sick!

Former United Nations weapons inspector Scott Ritter, who first spoke in San Diego at Current Affairs Bookstore in North Park January 20 as part of his last-ditch campaign to arouse popular opposition to the Bush administration's war against Iraq, returned October 9 with a much grimmer message. Promoting a new book called "Frontier Justice: Weapons of Mass Destruction and the Bushwhacking of America," Ritter said that as far as he is concerned, the very future of America's republican form of government depends on defeating Bush in 2004, no matter who his Democratic opponent is.

"I call myself a 'half-breed' and a 'mestizo' because this is what minorities have always done; we've used the names they made up to denigrate us and made them ours."
