4/12: Association of Raza Educators Conference- Presenters Needed

The conference theme is “The Struggle
for Social Justice In Education.” We ask that
conference speakers and workshop presenters
collectively address issues of social justice as they
relate to the question of the role of teachers and
students in struggling, inside and outside the
classroom, against oppression and marginalization
within the educational system.

The ARE 2008 Conference will be held at Lincoln High
School in San Diego California on Saturday, April
12th, 2008. A.R.E. San Diego seeks to outreach at
least 500 members of the educational community,
including, teachers, counselors, parents, students,
and so forth. The conference theme is “The Struggle
for Social Justice In Education.” We ask that
conference speakers and workshop presenters
collectively address issues of social justice as they
relate to the question of the role of teachers and
students in struggling, inside and outside the
classroom, against oppression and marginalization
within the educational system.

Attached you will find the Workshop Presenter Proposal
Application Form along with the ARE 2008 Conference
flyer. Feel free to duplicate and share this
invitation with others.

Please submit your proposal on the enclosed form and
postmarked no later than Monday, March 3rd, 2008 to PO
Box 740337 San Diego CA 92114 or via email at:

presenters will be required to pre-register. The
