Awaran: symbol of resistance Baloch

Greengrocer Eliel Santos

Awaran: a name that means massacre. Death. Genocide.

The Baloch people remain under Pakistani tyranny. Tortured youth. Kidnapped and missing students. Leaders murdered by death squads. And in the area of Awaran, children, young people and women are killed by heavy bombing of Pakistani helicopters. All this occurred under the silence and connivance of the media and the UN.

The mothers bury their children. Parents dig the grave for their children in the desert sand. Tears are constant and the cry of despair of mothers. This does not move the UN, the Western media and even prominent humanists.

How long will this take place? How long will the world remain silent?
