Approximately 50 community members gathered in front of the Federal Building in downtown San Diego Tuesday evening to express their opposition to the deportation of Elvira Arellano, who was apprehended by ICE officers in Los Angeles Sunday afternoon, and to the continuing ICE raids, which are devasting families.

Tonight was san diego indymedia's second successful practice with our mobile media catalyst unit (the first being last week's no borders camp benefit). We can wake up and see Human Rights protected, families protected someday! Elvira and her son represent so many families who's rights are being violated in this county.
