¨ My word is the silence of the wind.."

"My Word is the silence of the wind, The Earth is my mother….”

Learning how to liberate your lovely encaged wings in multiple cages
Those who wouldn’t want to see them fly
Grandfather Condor Grandmother Eagle
She and her song are the reason I continue to pray
For many centuries blooming
So many profound changes
The minerals residing inside our little mother
Connect me each day with our ancestors
Tlazocamatli (Thank You) to my family
For the seed right now and since the beginning
Always, Always will be what will lift me
Always, Always….

We are now in PERU!!!!!!!!!

Greetings to All My Relations,

I would like to send all my strength to my mother and my family back home, all my brothers and sisters praying in the north, my backbone at the worldbeat center, Uncle Red Bird and all the community in San Diego. We are all doing well here in the South. Bolivia was amazing. Arriving in La Paz was like stepping foot in Mexico City. It has been the biggest city we have been to, the streets were almost too packed to run through. It was a crazy sight, when we arrived because it is at the bottom of a huge valley surrounded by huge white snow covered mountains.

In the heart of South Dakota

It seems a while, but i am still here stronger than ever, We are at Wamblee on our six day journey through South Dakota. Is really a breath taking place with so much tradition and history, running through you can't stop thinking of the words of the elders in all the pain the Dakota/Lakota people have gone and continue to struggle till this day.

Finally in Bolivia and the Family is growing

Greeting to all my relations,

We are continuing strong here in the south. We have finally crossed into Bolivia, and in no time will be in Peru. Everything is beautiful here. It has been a little cold, but we have been able to deal with it. The only struggle so far has been running in the altitude, there has been days where we have reached 5000 feet above sea level, and we have to take it a little slower, but the mountains are always filled with llamas, and thew landscapes stay with me even in my dreams.

Inti Raymi in Tilcara, Juyuy Argentina

Greeting to all my relations,

i hope all is well with my family in Turtle Island, just wanted to take this time to update every body on the situation here on the southern route. Everyday seems to get more beautiful and the communities have been incredible.

This past week we took part in one of the most beautiful ceremonies since i have been on the run. On June 20th we ran to the town of Tilcara where we were greeted in a big way. The community had gathered and welcomed us to their Inti Raymi Celebration with was getting started. Inti Raymi is the Andean New Year and marks the begining of winter. We gathered around their fire and shared a beautiful circle.

Slowly but surely

Ok so i talked to Brad and figured out why i couldn't get pictures up. I posted one up in my gallery finally and hopefully more to come. If you can't wait, trying clicking on the picture i posted and it should take you to my Flickr account where you can see all the pictures i have uploaded.

I also have some more on my other blog.

Almost close to the states!

Hello all my family and extended family, I hope your are doing well. It was good to hear from my brother Oscar who is running in the South right now. I extend my prayers out that way each morning and when I sing my songs. As for right now the inland route is in a town called Yorkton, BC. Today was a good day like any other. Especially to acknowledge our sister Liza's little daughter who went through surgery today. I miss all of you and us runners to let you know are staying real strong. Hurting, but the sacrifice is a good one. I hope your doing well Mario, Papa, Mom, Jules.

With the Diaguita Calchaqui

Greetings to all My relations,

I wanted to take this short time that i have to send my energy back home to all my mother and family at home, my family at the WorldBeat Center, My fellow runners in the North, and La Otra SD holding down the fort and keeping our community strong. We are still in Argentina and have recently crossed in to Angastaco. The past 15 days have been intense. There has been a lot of support here in the North of Argentina especially here in Diaguitta territory. The communities are really strong and have gave us more energy and strength to take this prayer with more fire than before. I would like to thank all the communities in Catamarca, Belen, Santa Maria, Quilmes, Huilfin, and all those in between for everything that they taught us. They also wanted us to say hello to all the runners in the North and for them to know that our family is huge and present down here in the south.

Canoe Creek Secwepemc Territory

It was good to here from the companero Oscar in the south. We have been thinking about all the runners down there. We ended up having to spend an extra day here in Canoe Creek so it is giving me some time to update the blogs. I have to give props to Brad, Indymedia and the volunteer translators for all of your work. We can't send hardcopies of stuff due to cost, but when we reach the states I will try.

Greetings from the South AKA Tawantinsuyo

Greetings to all my relations in Turtle Island, especially my family, and all by brothers and sisters who are living the prophecy of the eagle and the condor. Sorry it has taken so long to post news from down here. I have made safely to Argentina, and we have been running strong, and praying for all of you. I departed on May 7th to join the run down here and it has been an adventure ever since. To sum it up i missed my first flight, then the airport lost my sleeping bag. I got to Buenos Aires after 18 hours of traveling, then got on another 18hr bus ride for Bariloche.
