In the heart of South Dakota

It seems a while, but i am still here stronger than ever, We are at Wamblee on our six day journey through South Dakota. Is really a breath taking place with so much tradition and history, running through you can't stop thinking of the words of the elders in all the pain the Dakota/Lakota people have gone and continue to struggle till this day.

I got sick for a few days, it was really tense praying/running through this sacred land. Everyone has been doing well, we had a day off here to gather our energies on the long running stretches we have been doing. Today the community took us, to visit some sacred sites with the main bundle, we went to the Bad Lands and shown us the path that Black Foot and his people took to Wounded Knee, we ended our day at the Black Hills in Bear Butt, the heart of the Lakota people. An elder from the community lead us in with the main staff to the top of the hill, he only took it half way and the rest of the runners got to the peak of the sacred hills, it was warm hearted to experience such amazing view and energy of the spirits and prayer tides that people have left for there communities and families.

Everywhere you walk there were trees fill with prayer tides, this is the place where medicine men and people have taken vision quest, still too this day this sacred place belongs to the Lakota people and continue to do vision quest.......tomorrow we are headed to Wounded Knee.....
