Continuing through the heart of Tawantinsuyo
Greeting to all my relations,
sorry for not posting a blog in a while, but i hope that all my family is well back home. I know that the run passed through San Diego, and it was such a blessing for me to hear that our community came out strong to support our brothers and sisters that came through on that route. Thank you to my family who ran and participated, and all the peace and dignity family back home, Joe Lara, Brad, Estela, C.A.F.E. en la C.A.L.L.E, Makeda & the WorldBeat Center, Tim Red Bird and The Red Warrior Drummers, all the Calpullis who came out and to my community. I hope you all know that we are prayering for all you everyday, and every step we take we take for you.
We have been doing very well here in Peru, since my last blog we were able to visit with the Uros community. They are a native community who live on flaoting islands in the middle of sacred lake Titicaca. It was a surreal experience being in the middle of the lake and taking the spirit of the Condor to pray with them.
From their we continued on to Arequipa, a large city in Peru in the middle of 3 Volcanos. From their we passed through more communities until we reached Nasca, a very sacred site were the ancesters their left huge images of animals that are so big we can only see them from a plane. I would like to thank Romeo from that community, who helped us out very much. Romeo picked up one of our runners in the night and gave him a ride back to the room, then took us out for lunch, and helped us for two days taking the runners to the route and helping the journey advance during a difficult time.
We arrived in Huarmey and rested in paradise for a few days. The housing wasn´t the greatest but we had one of the most amazing experiences there. We stayed on a peninsula that we had pretty much to ourselves in the middle of a crystal clear turqouise ocean. There we had a ceremony and left an offering for those waters and asked that ocean to keep us safe and guide us to Panama, because it will be those same waters that will be there to greet us when we arrive. From their we moved on to Chimbote, where we were recieved very well by the community. I would also like to thank Jonathan who accompanied us to run the next day, i hope that he keeps contact with us and the journeys. We are now in Trujillo and will rest here for some days and visit the sacred sites around us and take time for ceremony for the growth of the group and the prayer, and soon we will be crossing into Ecuador to meet up`with the family who is waiting for us there.
Thank You to all the communities and individuals who have been helping us with our prayer and especially to all the family here in Peru, Adela, Lita, Coralee, Heidi, Luciano, Abuelo Don Pastor, and any one else who i may be forgetting. For all the runners in the North especially for Berta, Tudy, and Abel, stay strong and be safe, we will be asking creador to guide you to Panama. And we will try to post more picture by next week.
